What Is ADVATx Therapy?
ADVATx is a type of laser therapy by ADVALight. It is a highly advanced medical laser that uses one of two different wavelengths of light to provide noticeable skin benefits within a short period of time. The procedure is noninvasive, comfortable, and suitable for many different types of patients.
What Issues Can ADVATx Treat?
ADVATx can be used to treat many different skin issues, including:
- Acne
- Acne scars (and other types of scarring)
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Prominent veins on both the face and legs
- Redness
- Psoriasis
- Rosacea
- Enlarged pores
- Skin tone and texture
- Vascular conditions
ADVATx is most often used on the face. However, it can be adapted for use on different parts of the body.
Am I a Good Candidate for ADVATx Therapy?
You may be a candidate for ADVATx if you are struggling with any of the above-mentioned skin concerns. You do not have to be a certain age or have a certain skin tone to benefit from this treatment; it is safe for both youths and mature individuals. People with the fairest skin, as well as very dark-skinned individuals, can take advantage of ADVATx. As long as you are in fair general health and have no open wounds in the targeted treatment area, it is very likely that ADVATx would be a suitable choice for you.
What Can I Expect During the ADVATx Procedure?
The ADVATx procedure starts with a consultation. Our team will learn about your goals for treatment, ask you a few questions about your health, and confirm that ADVATx is a fit for your situation. If everything looks good, we will move into treatment.
The ADVATx procedure is fairly comfortable, so we do not usually administer local anesthesia. We will simply apply the handheld device to your bare skin and activate the laser at the appropriate wavelength. An ADVATx session may take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes to complete.
No downtime is required after an ADVATx session, but we will give you guidance on how to care for your skin so you can minimize posttreatment irritation.
Some patients notice remarkable results after just one appointment. However, some issues, such as acne and rosacea, may require multiple trips to our office. We will work up a customized treatment plan for you so you can have realistic expectations about the road ahead.
