Get to Know Dr. Mary Moosavi, DNP, APRN, CRNA
Dr. Moosavi loves helping people look and feel their very best. For her, it’s very gratifying to make people feel confident about their appearance and smile whenever they look in the mirror. She believes that confidence is the most beautiful thing a person can possess, and she has dedicated herself to helping people attain it here at Dream Aesthetics Medspa.
Why Did You Want to become an aesthetic injector?
Dr. Moosavi says that she has always been drawn to beauty, and when medical aesthetics began to become more popular in the early 2000s, she knew that she wanted to be a part of the rapidly growing field. In 2005, she began training with Botox, dermal fillers, and lasers while working as a nurse in the ICU. She found a balance between caring for really sick people in the hospital and making people look better cosmetically at the medspa.
Where Did You Study Advanced Practice Nursing
Dr. Moosavi earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin, and she went on to work as a registered nurse for 10 years in the ICU and cardiac catheter lab. In 2014, she attended Nurse Anesthesia School, and eventually graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2017 with her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Anesthesia. She has also completed dedicated training focused on PRP treatments, advanced neurotoxin and dermal fillers, PDO thread lifts, and body contouring (TruSculpt ID).
Outside of the Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Moosavi dedicates most of her free time to taking care of her young daughter and their beloved Maltese dog. She also loves to draw and travel, and in the past, she has gone on service missions in Uganda and India where she provided anesthetic for free cleft lip/palate surgeries for underprivileged children.
